Chairperson: Mr. Balkrishna MABUHANG (Limbu) is Associate Professor of Population Studies in Central Department of Population Studies, Tribhuvan University Kathmandu, Nepal. He holds an MA in Population Studies and Phd candidate in Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Mabuhang is an activist and scholar on indigenous peoples' rights crediting more than dozen of articles and papers. He has served as General Secretary of National Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) and member of Asian Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP). Mr. Mabuhang's interests are social and political demography, social research and social inclusion, federalism from caste and ethnic population perspective.

Vice Chairperson: Mr. Yogendra Bahadur GURUNG is Associate Professor of Population Studies in Central Department of Population Studies, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Gurung holds an MA in Development Studies from Institute of Social Studies, The Hague, Netherlands and currently pursuing a Phd from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. His interests are migration, social demography, and social inclusion/exclusion. Mr Gurung has worked as Team Leader of various researchs and published more than a dozen of articles in national and international journals.

Secretary: Mr. Uddhav RAI is a Sociologist with wider range of experiences in social research, planning, monitoring, and evaluation in agriculture and development projects for more than 18 years. Currently he teaches Project Analysis and Management, Social Stratification and Differentiation in Department of Sociology/Anthropology, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu Nepal. He has a Masters of Applied Social Research from University of Manchester UK and currently pursuing Phd in food security among Chepangs of Nepal. He has published more than dozen of articles and research papers.

Treasurer: Mr. Janak RAI is a PhD Candidate in Anthropology in University of Michigan, Ann Arbor USA. He is a Lecturer in Anthropology, Tribhuvan University, Nepal and Teaching Fellow Cornell Nepal Study Program (CNSP), Kirtipur, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Rai is a Fulbright Scholar with wider research interest in

minority and indigenous people rights; caste and ethnic relations, cultural politics and social movement, anthropology of development, anthropology of state and anthropology of place in South Asia and Himalayan societies. He has published wider range of articles and papers in national and international journals.

Member: Dr. Chitra Bahadur BUDHATHOKI (Magar) is Associate Professor of Health Education in Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu Nepal. Dr. Budhathoki holds a Phd in Social Health from Jawaharlal Nehru University Delhi, India.  Dr. Budhathoki has varied research experiences in social health including HIV/AIDS, malaria and reproductive health. He has published about a dozen of research articles and papers. His current interests are determinants of health and diseases such HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis and ARI and sexual/reproductive health care in relation to equity, inequality and social inclusion in health care services and rights to health information and communication in Nepal.

Member: Ms. Laxmi LIMBU is a Demographer with special interest in gender, planning, monitoring and evaluation. She holds an MA in Demography from Australian National University (ANU), Canberra Australia and MA in Population Studies from Tribhuvan University. Ms. Limbu has experiences in gender mainstreaming, livelihood empowerment of minority and indigenous nationalities from government and non-government sectors in Nepal. Currently she works as Monitoring, Evaluation and Communication Specialist in Micro-Enterprise Development Programme of UNDP Nepal.

Member: Tej Bahadur RAI is a lawyer of Supreme Court of Nepal. He holds Bachelors of Law with many professional training including rights of minorities and indigenous people, notary public and public accountability. Mr. Rai has more than 15 years of experiences in legal services in Nepal and runs trainings and advocacy campaigns on indigenous people's rights. He is Vice-Chair of Nepal Bar Association, Lalitpur.
